After he came back to life
Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit out of his
mouth,
breathed him out of his mouth onto his
disciples.
All Scripture is moist with God’s breath.
The Holy Spirit visits.
The Holy Spirit indwells.
He also fills—
His fillings are as unexpected
as the baby boy from whose resurrected
mouth he spilled.
If you are too busy to hear his whisper,
maybe you are too busy.
If I am too busy to hear his whisper,
maybe I am too busy.
I will rest now
and ask if this is so.
Now I must go—
