Living Water, you said you’d be here,
No matter how long, how dry the land.
You said you’d come and rescue;
Why didn’t I better plan?
Bring a bigger bucket,
So you’d always be at hand?
You say there’s more water
Where this came from?
Why wouldn’t everyone swill?
with taste so purified, distilled?
Why doesn’t everyone want your water?
They’re all dying; they’re all dry.
We’re all wasted, we’re all shriveled,
We’re all cracked and bled and fried.
Why won’t we taste your water?
I am incredibly sad.
Maybe one day, when it’s offered,
The whole world will
Drink God.
